Hey Guys, I'm near Ashland MS. The new site looks great! I love old cemetaries, and have really enjoyed checking out what Angela has done. I'm looking forward to reading more! Caroline

Hi! I'm Shang (preferred name, at least online) and I just ran across this site today, actually. I'm very curious about all of this and I can't wait to learn more. I'm down right on the coast of Mississippi in Gulfport.

Greetings.
I'm new here, so please feel free to treat me as new.
Foremost, I'm no stranger to what most call paranormal. It's pretty normal to me. Secondly, I don't want to start with saying that I've something new that no one has encountered before among other paranormal groups. Third, I do take certain things seriously. The one thing I take as most serious is the potential for paranormal activity. Lastly, I would like to vouch a certain forgoing in the opposite direction towards that of a skeptic. I'm former military, now disabled. However, I'm no stranger to finding out a cause for things before I strike at the notion that I've encountered something paranormal.
Other than that, I've a few quirks about me. First is the heavy toll that the disability causes me. I've short-term memory loss. This does not take away from my perseverance of truth. Secondly, it only further consolidates how much I try to make sure something gets noticed, or that I am reminded quickly of anything needed to be remembered.
What makes me chat here tonight? ...
Of that, I'm not sure. I've seem to have grown fond of a saying. "Some people are in the right place at the right time. Those kinds of people are never where they are not needed." It was something said to me a long time ago. Who said it, I can't remember, but the truth is there none the less.
I'm generally knowledged in the supernatural. What might surprise many is that I often performed freelance, non-paid investigations to things going bump in the night on base, though not often and more often without a team with me. That is dangerous, I know. However, I have with me my strengths, and those strengths came at a high price.
I've always been keen on noticing the paranormal. I don't have too many answers, just some theories that leave just as many questions to the technical sides of things, rather than the answers solid. However, therein lies one talent. More will be shown if I can manage it on a consistent basis. I cannot say I can solve any and every problem faced. However, I can say that I would be willing to offer any help I can to anyone that needs it.
Help how? Well, many paranormal societies have the technical side of the fence. All the equipment and measurements. That is well taken care of. I'm on the other side of the fence. I don't consider what little I can do to be of almost no consequence, but I have it where it counts.
If anyone can read inbetween the lines there, and are doing so, then its obviously a seemingly 'dismissable statement'. I know how it sounds. I know what it means. I know for what that stands for. I've known for a long time what that will do to the stability of my social standings.
Never the less, I'm tired of hiding in the shadows of society, and would like to step into the light. I thought the best place to do so would be in a place where people might tolorate me as potentially normal.
So?... I'll open with more in another post.
Hope to hear from each of you soon.
It's good to stand in the light...
