I am sure you all have heard of the ghost image apps that are for the iphone since we have been bombarded with emails with these types of pictures.
Now there are apps you can download for your phone that can allegedly track ghost. One app is called Ghost Radar. It is a radar that will tell you where a spirit is in a location and they have one that works like the ovilus with a built in vocabulary. They also have one that is an EMF meter as well.
I am still up in the air about these "apps" and have thought about downloading one to see how it works and if it is BS or what. I will try it out to see how it works and how efficent it is.
What are your thoughts on these apps for investigating?

I have a lot of these apps on my iphone, and personally I think they are just for fun and shouldn't be used for actual ghost hunting. The Ghost Radar is fun to play with but I am skeptical as to whether or not the results are anything to really take into consideration. I guess I would have to spend more time experimenting with it, but usually it just spits out random words, like donkey and pepperoni. Its kind of hard for me to take that seriously. lol. Some say that it can be as accurate as a real EMF meter or K2, but I'm just not seeing it. I mean I know the iphones are capable of a lot of cool things, but I just don't think using it on an investigation would do any good. The other ghost apps I have like an emf meter and stuff are more or less just for entertainment. Some of the apps will even show a fake spirit flying around your house.. lol. Shelly, you are welcome to play around with mine and see what you think.

Cool! Thanks Jen. I think I will do that. I see all this stuff and you know me I am skeptical about things like that but you know I like to try things out and expirement.

Now I'm not going to leave this alone. When it spits out those crazy words...it's warming up. There are 3 lights that when lit up indicates it's ready to use. You CANNOT exit out of the program b/c it will need to warm up again. THe program uses the accelerometer and magnometer of the phone for the radar and EMF. The case we tried it on, we weren't expecting to get anything but nonsense. Honestly, we got schooled on that. The first zone rotation it was used in...the vocalizer didn't say a word...but then after that first rotation it was showing quite a bit and saying quite a bit. And it was doing it in relation to what was going on in the room during that rotation....startled us. It's not going to be used at presenting to the client but it did help us in concluding certain aspects fo the case...even for the client who sat in on one of the evp sessions.

it spits out random words while its warming up? What the hell, is it an antique Ford? LOL Im sorry yall, I am very skeptical of this Ghost Radar. But I dont have an iphone and I dont have a ghost radar. Now I would love to see someone on our team use it on a case, and I would love to hear what kind of words it spits out and also test it along side a real emf or a real ovillus. Until I see it work for myself though, Im gonna laugh everytime I hear someone say they used their Ghost Radar on an investigation. I can't help it, until I see it for myself. No hard feelings Marc, I am open minded that its possible, but til I see proof, Im not gonna get to excited.

Angie that is why we are going to play with Jennifers! And I can not afford an Ovilus.

Yeah, I know it has to warm up, it says the sensors have to get used to the surroundings or something. That is true, when you first turn it on it does spit out random things and then after it runs for a while it gets quiet and only picks things up here and there. As a matter of fact, I haven't played with it in a while so last night I turned it on. It had been on for so long and hadn't said anything at all so I forgot it was even on. My phone was sitting on the counter in the kitchen while I was cooking dinner and it was so funny because I had got hamburger meat all over my hands (which really grosses me out) so I started freaking out and gagging, lol, and turned to wash my hands in the sink and at that exact moment the thing said "DIRTY". It made me jump because I forgot it was on and it startled me, but I thought it was pretty funny that it said "DIRTY" while I was freaking out about how dirty my hands were. lol. Now as far as using it on an investigation, I guess the only way we will know if it works, it to try it out. But unless we get some evp or something to back it up or unless the words it spits out are extremely relevant to the case, I'm still not sure if I believe it. We will just have to experiment and see.

Just wait until get a word puzle to solve. But yes Jennifer, your story is a great example of what that thing will do. Just play with it....it'll surprise you.

I think this would be a fun experiment to try on the Z House case, I have been trying to think of some new experiments to do there since it has been a very active location for evp so far. Thats creepy Jen, maybe we need to investigate your house LOL

I also want to do a ghost box session at that location as well.

Yeah, with as much activity as we get at Z house, I think it would be fun to try it out and do a ghost box session. That would be the perfect place to experiment. lol.

Oh, our last investigaiton, we didn't count the ghost radar app b/c it didn't warm up all the way for some reason but it only said 2 words. All 4 of us were in the room the last coupel of hours of the case. It said crowded...4 people in the room yeah. ALso, we all laughed at a comment Colter made...it said joy. I really don't know what to think about this thing. It works holy crap it works, but it only saying those 2 words at partial readiness....i don't know....it may work TOO well LOL

Marc, we tried it out on the last Z House investigation on Jen Coops iphone. I was really surprised at the words that were said, some of them made no sense but some of them could be relevant. She has a cool thing on hers where she can print out a list of all the words spoken during the run time. Does yours do this? I am going to compare the words we recorded to our evp clips and our history log and see if anything matches up. I am not 100% convinced that it works, but I am open minded enough to experiment with it and I also believe that spirits can manipulate any electrical device they are able to harness energy from so who knows, time will tell with more experimenting

We wrote everything down. The audio picks up the words really well to for time stamp. Sometimes the device will say the word wrong. Like if it spits out cat....bat might have been said instead. Or at one location when an entity was behind where we were standing the device said refer...but we kind of weren't welcome there so i think it might ahve actually been deter. In one case, Carley walked across the room and the device said "motion" and then said "reverse" when she walked back to her original seat.
