I am half way through Traumatized, a short story novel by Alexander Stephen Brown. There are 15 scary stories of murder and mayhem. So far the stories I have read have really creeped me out. Which is a good thing because it takes a lot to creep me out. I can't wait to finish this book up and write a full review of this remarkable book. I suggest you all run out to his website and purchase a copy for yourself. But be forewarned....this book is not for the weak of heart or stomach and is definatly not for children or youths. www.traumatizedsouls.com

I finished Traumatized and I know I am late on writing my review. So here it is.
This book was different from any other short story anthology I have read. It ranks up there with the likes of Stephen King and Clive Barker. The stories had me cringing to almost getting sick to my stomach. So two big thumbs up for that! It took you to some places that were unimaginable and you really felt like you were part of the stories. It delved into the far reaches of your mind and preyed on your fears. There was a few stories that had me jumping with every sound I heard and some stories that I thought "You know this could really happen." and that was pretty messed up. Sometimes I find my self driving by a old dilapitated house wondering.....what if... My favorite story had to do with the ghost hunter and I thought to my self if that could really happen or has it happened and we just dont know about it. Hmmm.....highly unlikely, but what if?
I had a few favorites and there was a couple I couldn't really get into, but overall the book is fantastic and I highly recomment it for those dark and stormy nights as well as any time you need a good chill!
Alexander S. Brown is a phenomenal up and coming author and I am sure we will see his books on the New York Times Bestseller list someday soon.

So, I just finished the book. It was definitely creepy. Alex is a talented writer. Some of the stories were more gruesome than others but Alex has a way of writing that makes it very hard to stop in the middle of a story. He leaves you wondering whats going to happen next. And I was thinking the same thing as you Shelly, like some of this stuff could really happen and that is scary. Some of the stories had me sick to my stomach, but I still couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to read more from Alex.
