I have been in phone contact with a home owner in Hazlehurst, MS who has had his home investigated before for possible Paranormal activity. My grandson's father told the home owner about my interest in the paranormal and he is willing to allow me to check out the house in the near future. The house was built in the early 1800's and another built on the some location after the 1st home burned. The family cemetery is located near the house. The owner has lived in the home as a child but the house is now empty. He believes that paranormal activity has happened for sometime in his family home.
That is all I know at present.
What do you all think - is this something that Dana, Charlotte, and I should attempt to check out?
Suggestions Please!

Richard, I am happy to see that you are so enthusiastic about the paranormal and are already scouting out locations, with that being said, since you have applied for membership with our team and that is a huge possibility that you will be voted in at the meeting in August, I would prefer that you and the ladies hold off on doing this investigation on your own for now. If you would like to wait until you know about membership, we might be able to set it up so that some more experienced team members from the group can accompany you and also provide you with more equipment such as video. I cannot tell you not to do it, but with your membership pending, I would prefer that you wait just a little longer before diving in head first without the proper equipment and some more experienced guidance as to how to conduct an investigation properly. There is alot more to it than just checking the place out and running some audio if you want it to be thurough and professionally done.

Your suggestion that I hold off starting this investigation sounds fine to me! It would be outstanding to get training from more experienced team members as I really am a "NEWBE" in the area of paranormal investigations. If the owner contacts me before the August meeting I'll just advise him that I'm working on getting a team together and that I'll get back to him in a few weeks. Thanks for the help and we'll see you in August! Looks like Dana, Charlotte, and I, will be driving up together.

Richard, I certainly ment no disrespect regarding your experience level, I think this would be an awesome way for you to enter the team as well as a great place for the new members to be able to work side by side with the team from start to finish. This would be an excellent way to show you the process from the initial interview and preliminary scouting to the actual investigation and review. I am excited. If this person responds to you before the meeting, you can start by gathering all the claims, contact information and even some of the history and then let the homeowner know that you would like to present it to the group first and then go about setting up an investigation.
